First, I’ll apologize for not updated this category on my blog, but, here I am, READY!!
So for the next posts on my blog is for update my SharePoint Server 2019 and prove the CU (cumulative updates) it works…..
SharePoint Server 2019 is patched with a language dependent and a language independent fix.
The next KB article is available for download:
- KB 4484259 – February 2020 update for SP Server 2019 (language independent)
- KB 4484225 – February 2020 update for SP Server 2019 (language dependent)
In this CU is important to install both fixes (language dependent & independent) to fully patch a SharePoint On-Premises.
All the packages are the same language, no matter which language you pick on the download center.
So, let’s continue with patching out server.
A good practice is to create a backup before apply any changes in your servers.
Now, after our server is already backup, continue with executing the CU file. I need to install the KB 4484259.
Check the license terms and click on Continue.
Please wait, it takes a couple seconds, trust me.
Now, restart the server to continue with the next CU.
Let’s continue with the last KB 4484225.
Again, accept the license terms and click on Continue.
This KB it so fast……
This KB it’s not necessary restart the server, so. let’s continue with applied a few cmdlets.
After rebooting the server, let’s continue to fully patching the SharePoint Server 2019.
PSConfig.exe -cmd upgrade -inplace b2b -wait -cmd applicationcontent -install -cmd installfeatures -cmd secureresources -cmd services -install
You can do it.
And the final result.
Now, verify the update in our server.
Check the Build Version.
Then navigate to our SharePoint sites to validate that it’s working.
